making up for my stupidity
A few weeks ago I went to Chico State's "on the spot admission" day. They let me in provisionally on the basis that I would complete all credits necessary for admission. Well, I am down a few classes. Three to be exact. And I am going to do something about it.
I have enrolled in an online class (History 43 - America from 1851) to make up for a class I failed last year. It is a class through Brigham Young University online through the independent study program they have there. Actually, I think it will be pretty easy, but I am not looking forward to it AT ALL. I am a geek, so the onine part doesn't bother me. It is the fact that I have to pace myself, and I am the only one who can get me to do the work. I mean, they say that I have a year to take it, and knowing me I am going to want every second of it. But then again, I have to finish it before I graduate. In addition to another online class (English 1A) and a math class (Algebra II). Before I graduate. Otherwise I won't be going to college. Anyway, back to the online class: I just visited their website to begin the class and read the introduction to the class. The professor (a slightly overweight elderly man with seemingly no personality - according to my analysis of the videos) is one of ten kids in his family, and has seven kids himself. In fact, between the ten of them, their family reunion has over 200 people. Did I menton that this is a mormon college?
Anyway, I am mainly venting at myself for how STUPID I was last year as far as school goes. Who knows, maybe their was a purpose to trek.
