"MT. SHASTA BOARD & SKI PARK
PRESS RELEASE FOR TUESDAY DECEMBER 9, 2003
OPENING DAY THIS FRIDAY!!
MT. SHASTA - Great news snowriders!! The Mt. Shasta Board & Ski Park will open for the 2003 – 2004 Season on Friday December 12."
This is a direct snippet from an email sent to me from the Mt. Shasta.
I am so ready to go snowboarding. Even as I type, I am getting yelled at from my teacher. Loud voice directly aimed at me. Apparently I did something that everyone hated and the faculty is pissed, and I am firm in my apathetic stance.
But sowboarding. I am ready. Snowboarding. Shasta. Freedom. Snowboarding. Adrenaline. Powder. Air. Jumps. Snowboarding.
I am so fuckin ready I don't know what to type. Words escape me.
All I know is that when I am on the snow with that piece of wood strapped to my feet I am a free man. I can do what I want, go where I want, take risks and reap the benefits of them. The adrenaline rush paired with the rush of air aimed at my face is my place in life. I love it. Again, words cannot descirbe the awsomeness that comes with that trip down the mountain. I live for moments like those.
Which is precisely why I am going to be going snowboarding on this coming friday. For the first time this season. Opening day. When I found out yesterday that this friday was to be opening day, I almost passed out. I jumped, danced, and yelled for joy. I waxed my snowboard last night with my new wax. I tried on my boots for the umpteenth time since last season, just to make sure they still fit. I laid out my snowboarding outfit on the floor to double-check EVERYthing. I am SO FUCKING READY TO GO SNOWBOARDING!!!
