san jo' for sure?!?

Can it really be for sure? My parents are moving to Los Gatos. This Summer.
My dad basically told the guys in San Jose today that he wanted to work at the hospital down there. The guy in charge of hiring told my dad that hiring him is not a sure thing until next week, but welcome to the hospital. I think that means it is for sure.
I honestly don't know what to feel. I feel happy for my parents, because it is a huge step in their lives, basically deciding the next ten years of their existence, but at the same time I fear for them because it is going to be a challenge, financially and emotionally. Moving from a 3300 sq. ft. house to a 1600 sq. ft. house will be a challenge as well. We essentially have to sell everything we own at a garage sale before we can move. Although we haven't yet found a house, we have been looking, and it seems quasi-hopeful. Putting three kids through college - at the same time - will be fun. My mom is going to have to get a real job for the first time since she had my sister (twenty-two years ago). Plus manage the presidency of the CMAA.
Well, good luck to them, and I hope all goes well and nobody goes insane before the year is over.
Oh, yeah, my mom - get this - my mom started a blog of her own. I didn't tell her to, I didn't even know until she showed me. The first post happened today at 4:20 (!) in the afternoon. My very own mother, making blogger her own. Now that is a scary thought. I will spare you all the link until I check out whats she posts over the next few days, weeks.

I re-registered stilldavid.com today, and I think it messed up the post system, by the way, so bear with me while I fix it. And if you read this and know what I am talking about, the LAN is postponed until May, probably May 8th or so.
