labor day weekend
Labor Day Weekend in Chico is a lot like... tens of thousands of young adults getting completely shit faced for an entire three day weekend, some of whom wish to float down the Sacramento River on rafts with kegs and plenty of alcohol to go around for whoever wants it. Well, that's probably because that's all Labor Day Weekend in Chico is.
While I didn't participate in the widely publicized raft fun, I did have some fun of my own, going out on the town a lil bit, etc... Actually, I just spent about 2 hours at the Chico Dutch Bros. Coffe house drinking lots of caffine (I had an 8 shot mily way - blended of course - and the guy working hooked me up with 2 straight iced shots). And now, as the clock radio approaches midnight, and the 8:30AM lecture looms in the distance, I sit completely buzzed from caffine. The Dutch Bros. in Chico is not nearly as chill as the one in Redding, but we are going to turn it in to our new hang out spot I think. I cranked my car's system while we were there, and we got all the drive-through customers dancing to our ghetto music.
Whilst recovering from the crazy night, which seemed to take all day for some reason ;) I realized how much I really do miss Redding. Albeit, it is extremely boring, I did enjoy hanging out doing nothing. I mean, here it is always drama, parties, eating, games, school, all the college crap, but in Redding, it was ... nothing. I liked going to circuit city to listen to the radio, or knowing the graveyard shift mall cops on a first name basis. Those were the days. And now where are we? I am still wondering what I am doing in college. I just feel so out of place sometimes (then I see Tom, and feel better) but it is just so weird.
I decided I am going to write a book by the way. Don't ask me about it, because I don't want to tell you about it, I just thought you might want to know. Yeah, you. I'm going to write a book for fun.
