3 more weeks
I still just can't get my mind around the fact that I will be in Chemistry in less than 9 hours. My mindset is still at the beach with poker chips and body surfing and full moons.
We did wind up going to the beach "house" in Watsonville, which is south of Santa Cruz a few miles turns out. Also turns out that what I thought was our house was really a condominium that we were renting a unit of. We know the people who own the unit next to the one we rented, so we got ours half off I guess, which is always good :) It was great to wake up to the sound of the ocean, and look out the window and see the waves crashing on the beach. I had a lot of fun the last few days. We played poker with the family whose mother my mom knows who own the condo next to the one we rented (hope you caught all that) which was interesting. The family is from Los Gatos, and they have a boy my age who was involved in a drunk driving accident a couple years ago and is still on probation and in Juvenille Hall. It was really great talking to him and getting his perspective on life and the such.
And how could I forget Redding.
I did wind up driving to Redding (Anderson) for the New Tech yearbook signing gig, which was a lot of fun. Not quite the turnout I was expecting (Nick, if you are reading this... Ross too...), plus our yearbook sucks (if you disagree, look at the page my parents payed money to put in, then look HERE). Not that nobody put any time into it, I mean, I really appreciate all the work that was done on it, but there are gross typos (Someone said Jeus was their best friend) and repeated pictures on the same page.
Well, at least it was fun hanging out with everyone for a while, even though there is still nothing to do in Redding. Anywho, I am out... I'm way tired. G'nite.
