just one more thing
I just realized that I haven't even put up pictures of my car. Well, here they are, I just wish that it was under better circumstances :(
So I was traveling west on Old Alturas coming around that corner at browning street when a car coming from the north stops at the stop sign, looks and guesses it's safe to continue - without seeing me there. Well, I was definately there, traveling at the speed limit. I looked up and saw him there, making a left turn (to be heading east, opposite direcion of me) onto the street I was on. I watched him pull out, and also saw him look up in horror at the fact that I was just about to t-bone him! I swerved to the left, kind of assuming he would slam on his brakes and I'd go around him, but what does he do? He put on the gas thinking he could get out of the way in time. Well, this caused us to be in the same place at the same time, which the cars didn't like all that much. There was the typical screeching tires (mine) and the horrific crunch and the sound of breaking glass (my front headlight, I guess) and we collided. It sucked.

The damage was not nearly as bad as it could have been, and for that I am thankful, but it's still just a bitch, you know? One more thing to add to my list of things to do, (like get a new cell phone). Oh, yeah, sorry for the crap pictures, but it's night time right now, and I'm tired after playing ultimate and the such, so gimme a break. And here's a map of the intersection where it happened, in case you don't know:
There was a police report involved, and I get to spend my lunch break at triple-a tomorrow; I'm just hoping for the best on this one because it was definately not my fault. In fact, the officer (officerette?) who filed the report didn't even ask what happened really, she just took the paperwork, and did all that stuff. Then she looked at me and said "you're free to go", and looked at the other guy (who I didn't share more than 2 words with) and said "you need to stay, I'm giving you a citation..."
