I could almost say I hate cops right now. But hate is a strong word. And they DO keeps our streets safe from drugs, drunk drivers, and out of control drivers. But do you really think that a *sober* kid driving *before* curfew (10PM) going to a teen center that fails to stop fully at a stop sign deserves a ticket?! And to go to court because it is a "moving violation"? I thought you went to court when you did something really bad like kill someone or drive under the influence. But failure to yield at a f$%#ing stop sign?!?! Gimme a break. Please.
I even told my mom first thing I woke up this morning at about 9:30 or so. She was suprisingly cool about it. I thought she would freak out, but she just sat there and bragged about her *single* moving violation in her life. She got to tell me all the good news about how my insurance is going to go up, the fees at court, and how much driving school costs. $H1+!!! I don't have a job!!!
And the ONLY thing I got out of this was a nice conversation with an officer of the law and figured out I could go 5mph _under_ the speed limit wherever I go.
Like I will tell my parents. It could be worse. I could be drunk or something stoopid like that. I could have been at a party. I could have actually done something wrong other than roll through a dark stop sign in the dark neighborhood on that dark night.
Life is good. It is Friday. Finally. Now I get to go kill my car.
Don't ask. I will post the video when I can get around to it. Anywho, I am at my internship at op-test right now and there is nothing for me to do. I have read all the magazines they have laying around (yawn) and now I want to leave, but don't want to ask. Jonathan is trying to configure the linux servers after the move and new IP addys and the such, and is having a troublesome time due to the fact that shasta.com is being dumb. Heh, I remember shasta. I think I hacked a user page once... But that was another life. Now I am clean and might even get a laptop from school, and design the school website. In PHP. MySQL. CSS. The works. However I want.
The boredom is taking over, so I am going to go ask to leave... wish me luck.

anyone with THIS much time on their hands needs to get a life. But hey, they made a website out of it, so I guess i should give 'em a break.
What they did was see how many CD's they could label with ONE sharpie. I don't know if I should tell you how many (the suspense was KILLING me!), but lets just say that it was a hefty pile. They have an interesting page on how long batteries last as well...

Okay, here's the deal. I wrote another php script...
I know, it's scary, but here's what this one gives you: The ability to comment on each individual post I make in blogger instead of having to post to the phorum. I will still leave the phorum up because the talkback program (as I have named it, kinda) is still in the beta stage. In the next few days (weeks?) I am going to make a function that counts the number of posts so you can see how many there are by looking at the main page. Also, I need to write an admin interface. OOh, and as for funcionality over the phorum... this one actually records yer IP!
Okay, this is the most down-to-earth approach I have heard from micro$oft in ... probably ever. You know what it is about? Online gaming. Just read it.

According to this slashdot article, the recording industry uses us music downloaders more than we might think. The company mentioned above, BigChampagne tracks what songs we download and SELLS this information to nearly every major record label. What do they do with this info? Use it to decide which songs to put on the radio in certain areas (and poof! record sales are up for the CD). Is that f*cked up or is it just me? And I thought that these were the guys who were against music downloads the whole time...
last night was la comida night. la comida, aside from meaning "the food" in spanish, is a mexican restaurant in redding. Every monday they have a fundraiser where local groups bus tables and get 20% of the profits. Well, last night our school wanted money so they signeded up for it and so we all (the senior class anyway) went there and chilled and ate and marveled at jay's car. It was a good night all in all, with some good jokes. Look on the jokes page of james' website and scroll to the bottom to be in on the jokes. Anyway, la comida. It was awsome, and I think we made a lot of money. I mean, the bake sale got some $70 alone, so there had to have been some profit from the restaurant.
A lot of people showed up... james, stass, peter, even chelsey, which suprised me. I guess she and james are really tight now...
But there's an econ quiz I have to take in a few minutes (I aced the chem quiz this morning) so I should go.
I don't get this. Someone explain this to me. My parents are (or at least were) really pissed at me because I went to San Jose with my sister and a friend. On the way back we stopped in at Davis where my sister will be living and going to school this fall. The reason we stopped was because we had to drop off some of my sisters stuff at her apartment, like furniture and the such. However, we pulled in pretty late. My mom had called me on my cell while we were in San Jose, and she told me to drive straight home. I said okay, but then my dad told me it was too late to drive and just stay the night in Davis, and then they couldn't decide which was worse. I didn't know what to do, and we wound up staying the night in Davis at my sisters apartment. Yeah, my parents were pretty pissed about that but now get this: They just left. For over a week. In Southern California. Yeah, so they don't trust me for a single night in Davis, but they trust me and my sister with their own house for an entire week? If someone would please explain their logic to me, I would like to know. They didn't even call at midnight (my curfew) like I would expect them to. My mom did call me this morning while I was driving to school (where I am now) just to say hi and to see if I had a good weekend. Yeah, what did she expect?
Yesterday was a fun day. I don't even know exactly why, but it was a great day to be alive in the life of me. I think it was because we had a storm come through our area. It was thundering and lightninging and stuff. When I got to my internship, it was right at the start of the bad part of the storm. I walked in, and everyone paused at the first flash... THen the UPS systems on all their servers started beeping. At this point, everyone started yelling and running around shutting down all the computers they could find. The main linux server crashed due to one of the spikes, and that got a loud "GOD D@MN IT!" from one of my bosses. After three minutes or so of this madness, Dan shut off the circuit breaker and we all went outside to watch the lightning and talk about the cohesive properties of H2O.
And that's why my day was so much fun!
Wow, I can get a laugh out of Richard. I, or WE went back and read his blog on his site (link to the left) and read all of his past posts when he was young and in love! We all got a laugh out of it. I started reading it out loud in class, the teacher started to ask questions, and it went downhill from there :) It was great fun. I think he is deleting the posts even as I type...
